All Impreza’s now feature Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD). First introduced on the WRX STi Type UK, it automatically controls the distribution of the rear wheels, compensating for changes in attitude due to loading and load shifts during deceleration. A rigid cage of steel hoops completely encircles driver and passengers in the Impreza. SRS dual airbags are standard equipment, and larger front seat SRS side protection, are now standard on the 2.0 WRX models. Seat belts have electronic pretensioners and load limiters to the front.
